AB for Supramax/Handy Bulk Carrier Vessels

Job Description

KJCM Maritime Corporation is hiring an Able Seaman (AB) to join a Supramax/Handy Bulk Carrier.

The AB will support the deck department with cargo operations, mooring, maintenance, watchkeeping, and other routine deck duties while maintaining high standards of safety and vessel housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring, cargo, and lashing operations.
• Participate in navigational watchkeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain deck equipment and assist the Bosun and Deck Officers.
• Follow all vessel safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid AB Certificate of Competency / required AB certification
• Previous bulk carrier experience is an advantage
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Valid passport and seaman’s book
