Job Description:
OJ Crew is looking for a qualified Junior Engineer (EROT) to join a Liberian-flagged reefer vessel. The vessel has a GT of 9,820 and DWT of 10,466 and is equipped with a B&W 7S60MC-C two-stroke main engine with a power output of 9,170 kW. The successful candidate will support the engine department with the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the vessel's machinery and equipment.
The joining date is 05 October 2026, with a contract duration of approximately 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist senior engineering officers with the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
Monitor engine room equipment and machinery performance.
Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs as instructed.
Assist with troubleshooting and reporting of machinery defects.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized engine room in accordance with company and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Good command of English
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) – III/1
Relevant experience in the engine department is preferred
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
