3rd Officer for VLCC Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Jebsen PTC Maritime Incorporated is seeking a qualified Third Officer to join a VLCC crude oil tanker. The successful candidate will assist with navigation, bridge watchkeeping, safety equipment maintenance, and cargo-related operations in accordance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a safe navigational watch and assist with voyage planning.
• Update navigational charts, publications, and bridge records.
• Inspect and maintain assigned lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
• Assist with cargo operations and comply with tanker safety procedures.
• Participate in emergency drills and ensure compliance with onboard safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency appropriate to the rank and vessel.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Relevant experience as a Third Officer; crude oil tanker experience and applicable tanker training must meet company and flag requirements.
