3rd Engineer for Reefer Vessel

Job Description

Scanmar Maritime Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Third Engineer to join a Reefer Vessel. The position involves supporting the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel's main and auxiliary machinery.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines.
• Carry out planned and corrective mechanical maintenance.
• Monitor machinery performance and report defects.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs in the engine room.
• Follow vessel safety, environmental, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Relevant experience as Third Engineer
• Reefer vessel experience is advantageous
• Good English communication skills
