2nd Officer for LPG Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Jebsen PTC Maritime Incorporated is urgently seeking a qualified Second Officer to join an LPG tanker. The successful candidate will assist with safe navigation, passage planning, bridge watchkeeping, and cargo operations in compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a safe navigational watch and assist with voyage planning.
• Update navigational charts, publications, and bridge documentation.
• Assist with LPG cargo operations and follow applicable safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain assigned lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
• Support emergency drills and ensure compliance with onboard safety requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency appropriate to the rank and vessel.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Relevant experience as a Second Officer; LPG tanker experience and required gas tanker certification should meet company and flag requirements.
