2nd Officer for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description

MAR AQUALINK MARITIME, INC. is hiring five Second Officers for bulk carrier vessels operating worldwide. Candidates should have at least 12 months of experience in their current rank and be ready to join as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a safe navigational watch and assist with vessel navigation.
• Prepare and update passage plans, charts, and navigational publications.
• Support safe cargo operations and deck activities.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate bridge records and comply with company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Second Officer’s Certificate of Competency.
• At least 12 months of experience in the present rank.
• Valid and available seafarer documents.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Willingness to join as soon as possible.
• Experience working with a mixed Chinese crew may be relevant to the assignment.
