Job Description

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Second Engineer to assist with the management and maintenance of the vessel’s engine-room machinery and technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise engine-room operations and maintenance activities.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer with machinery performance and planned maintenance.
  • Monitor machinery condition and report defects.
  • Ensure compliance with engine-room safety and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain engine-room logs and technical records.

Requirements

  • Relevant Second Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
  • Seagoing experience; tanker experience as required by the employer.
  • Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents.
  • Valid medical fitness certificate.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
