2nd Engineer for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description:

Blackharbor Maritime Services Pvt. Ltd. is hiring an experienced Second Engineer to join their growing fleet of Oil / Chemical Tankers. The position is available on vessels of approximately 27,000 GRT. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer in the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel's machinery and engine-room systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery.
• Supervise maintenance, repairs, and machinery inspections.
• Monitor engine-room equipment and maintain operational records.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Valid Second Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum 12 months of tanker experience required.
• Experience on Oil / Chemical Tankers.
• Honduras / Cook Islands COC accepted.
• Good English communication skills.
