Job Description:
A shipping company is currently recruiting an experienced Second Engineer to join a Container Vessel. The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer in managing all engine room operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's machinery. Experience with Wärtsilä RT-flex main engines is mandatory. The company also offers rejoining and seniority bonuses in addition to the monthly salary.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise engine room operations and engineering personnel.
Perform planned maintenance and repairs on propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
Monitor engine performance and ensure efficient machinery operation.
Maintain engine room documentation and planned maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Previous experience as Second Engineer on Container Vessels
Mandatory experience with Wärtsilä RT-flex main engines
Employment Details:
Contract Duration: As per company policy
Salary: USD 8,200/month
