2nd Engineer for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Second Engineer to assist in managing the engine department and maintaining the machinery and technical systems onboard a container vessel.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervising assigned engine room operations and personnel.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting main and auxiliary machinery.
• Coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Monitoring machinery performance and maintaining technical records.
• Following onboard safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Second Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant engineering experience; container vessel experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
