Job Description:
Foscon Shipmanagement Inc. is urgently hiring a qualified Second Assistant Engineer to join an Asphalt/Bitumen Tanker trading worldwide. The successful candidate will assist with the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the vessel's main and auxiliary machinery, ensuring safe and reliable engine-room operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor machinery performance and identify technical abnormalities.
- Assist with machinery repairs, inspections, and overhauls.
- Follow engine-room safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid engineering Certificate of Competency appropriate for the position.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Relevant experience as a Second Assistant Engineer on merchant vessels.
- Tanker experience is preferred.
- Valid seafarer's documents required for the position.
