Job Description
An experienced Technical Superintendent is required for a marine technical management position in West Africa. The successful candidate must have previously sailed as a Chief Engineer and possess strong experience in marine technical management.
The role will involve overseeing vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, regulatory compliance, and the overall technical operation of vessels. Previous sailing or working experience in West Africa is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, and planned maintenance activities.
- Coordinate dry-docking, inspections, and technical projects.
- Monitor vessel technical performance and machinery condition.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, class, flag, and company requirements.
- Provide technical support to vessel Masters and Chief Engineers.
- Coordinate contractors, service providers, and technical resources as required.
Requirements
- Previous sea service as Chief Engineer.
- Strong marine technical management / Superintendent experience.
- Proven experience in vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking.
- Strong knowledge of marine technical operations and regulatory compliance.
- West Africa sailing / working experience is mandatory.
- Relevant marine engineering qualifications and certificates.
- Good English communication and reporting skills.
