Job Description:
Team Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician (Hydraulic) for a permanent position onboard an FPSO operating in the North Sea.
The successful candidate will serve as the hydraulic technical focal point, providing both onshore and offshore support for hydraulic maintenance activities. The role includes troubleshooting, maintenance planning, engineering support, equipment modifications, spare parts management, vendor coordination, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic systems in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Provide technical support for hydraulic systems and maintenance activities on offshore installations.
Perform troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
Prepare and review engineering work packs, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
Coordinate spare parts, lubricants, vendor support, and engineering modifications.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, industry standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Valid Offshore Survival Certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience as a Hydraulic Technician in the North Sea.
Strong experience in mechanical and hydraulic engineering.
Knowledge of relevant offshore codes, standards, and maintenance practices.
Computer literacy for technical documentation and engineering calculations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of offshore Oil & Gas safety culture.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural 24/7 production environment.

Vessel Type: FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel).
Location: North Sea.
Rotation: 3 weeks ON / 4 weeks OFF.
