Job Description:
VM Marine is currently seeking an experienced Marine Operations Superintendent to join its Marine Operations team in the United Arab Emirates. This shore-based position is ideal for a maritime professional with previous sailing experience as a Master on Foreign-Going (F.G.) and Offshore vessels, combined with operational management experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will oversee daily marine operations, ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, and support the safe and efficient management of the company's fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise and coordinate daily marine operations for assigned vessels.
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, company procedures, and HSE standards.
Monitor vessel performance, operational efficiency, and voyage execution.
Liaise with vessel masters, clients, port authorities, and internal departments.
Support operational planning, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
2–6 years of shore-based experience as a Marine Operations Superintendent.
Previous sailing experience as a Master on Foreign-Going (F.G.) and Offshore vessels.
Strong experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Thorough knowledge of international maritime regulations and offshore operations.
