We are currently recruiting experienced Subsea Engineers to join our client’s fleet of drillships. This is a permanent rotational position offering long-term career stability within a high-performing offshore operation.

Role Overview

The Subsea Engineer will work closely with both offshore and onshore subsea support teams, ensuring the reliability, safety, compliance, and performance of all subsea systems. This includes responsibility for the BOP stack, marine riser system, subsea control systems, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operation, maintenance, and testing of all subsea equipment in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Conduct pre- and post-deployment inspections of BOP and riser systems to confirm readiness and integrity
• Maintain accurate maintenance, testing, and inspection records within the company’s maintenance management system
• Monitor subsea system performance, identify potential failures, and implement corrective and preventive maintenance
• Participate in well control drills, safety meetings, audits, and inspections
• Support continuous improvement in subsea operational reliability and safety

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Nationality: UK, European, or South African nationals only (due to work permit restrictions)
• Minimum 3 years operational experience as a Subsea Engineer onboard MODUs
• Drillship experience preferred
• Strong technical expertise in:
  • BOP control systems
  • Marine riser systems
  • Wellhead equipment
  • Subsea operations and testing
• Proven ability to work in a safety-critical offshore environment
