Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Offshore Safety Officer to join a Jack-Up Rig operating in the Netherlands. This is a short-term cover assignment with immediate mobilisation on 7 July. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture onboard, ensuring compliance with offshore HSE regulations, conducting inspections, and supporting safe drilling operations. Candidates must have relevant offshore experience and hold all required certifications for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Monitor compliance with company HSE policies and offshore safety regulations.
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments onboard.
Support emergency preparedness, incident investigations, and safety reporting.
Deliver safety briefings and promote safe working practices among personnel.
Advise the Offshore Installation Manager and crew on health, safety, and environmental matters.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates (where applicable).
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience as an Offshore Safety Officer on offshore drilling units.
Valid offshore safety certifications required for the position.
All mandatory offshore documentation must be valid and current.
