Job Description
A drilling company is seeking an experienced Roustabout Pusher to support the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of a drilling rig. Reporting directly to the Rig Superintendent, the Roustabout Pusher is responsible for supervising and coordinating a crew of Roustabouts while also taking a hands-on role in daily rig operations.
The position combines crew leadership with operational execution, including cargo handling, maintenance activities, general labor, and support of rig operations. The successful candidate will ensure that assigned work is completed efficiently, equipment is properly maintained, and all activities are carried out in accordance with company HSE requirements and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate Roustabout crew members, delegate tasks, and monitor work performance.
- Support cargo handling, material movement, maintenance activities, and general rig operations.
- Ensure equipment and tools are used correctly and maintained in safe working condition.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with HSE procedures.
- Provide hands-on operational support and assist with resolving day-to-day rig activities and issues.
- Carry out administrative, technical, and reporting duties as required by the company.
- Identify operational problems and apply effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Rig Superintendent.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- High School education.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Understanding of basic oil and gas drilling operations is an advantage.
- Ability to operate and maintain drilling equipment is an advantage.
- Previous experience in crew leadership and supervision is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and supervise a team.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
