Job Description:
Transocean is currently seeking motivated Roustabouts to join its offshore drilling fleet. Reporting directly to the Crane Operator, the Roustabout is responsible for supporting daily offshore operations by performing cargo handling, housekeeping, general maintenance, painting, equipment handling, and manual labor tasks to ensure safe and efficient rig operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Deck Department, Drillers, and other offshore personnel while maintaining strict compliance with Transocean's Operational Discipline, HSE policies, and industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform cargo handling, lifting operations, rigging, and banksman duties when qualified.
Carry out housekeeping, cleaning, painting, corrosion protection, and general maintenance of rig areas.
Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance of drilling and deck equipment.
Support drill floor operations and assist other departments when required.
Participate in safety meetings, emergency drills, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with company HSE procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Valid vaccination certificates as required.
Basic mechanical skills and safety awareness.
Previous offshore or physically demanding industrial experience is an advantage.
Ability to work safely in challenging offshore environments.
Willingness to work as part of a multicultural offshore team.
Knowledge of cargo handling, lifting operations, and rigging practices is preferred.
