Job Description:
Atlas NextWave is recruiting experienced Offshore Painters to join the Safe Caledonia, a semi-submersible accommodation support vessel operating in Scapa Flow, Orkney.
The assignment is scheduled to start on 26 August 2026 and will run for 4 weeks. As the vessel will operate within UK territorial waters (12 nautical miles), candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out painting and protective coating work onboard the offshore vessel.
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, preparation, and removal of existing coatings.
Apply paint and protective coatings according to project specifications.
Inspect completed work and maintain required quality standards.
Follow all offshore safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Offshore Painter
Previous offshore / marine painting experience required
Right to Work in the UK – Mandatory
Candidates must either be UK Nationals or hold a valid UK Frontier Worker Permit (FWP)
Valid offshore certifications and medical documentation as applicable
Good English communication skills
Ability to work safely in an offshore environment
Availability to start on 26 August 2026
