Job Description:
OSM Thome is recruiting a Utility Operator to join an FPSO/FSO operating offshore Vitória, Brazil. The role supports safe and efficient day-to-day operations, ensuring utility systems and mechanical equipment function reliably to keep the unit fully operational. The position is part of an offshore production environment with strict safety, compliance, and operational standards. Accommodation and meals are provided onboard in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Reading and interpreting process diagrams (P&ID)
• Operating, controlling, and monitoring machinery spaces, mechanical equipment, and utility systems, including power generation and steam facilities
• Monitoring and operating utility control rooms with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency
• Identifying, reporting, and initiating corrective actions for deviations from normal operating conditions
• Performing first-line preventive and corrective maintenance on utility systems and mechanical equipment in accordance with SAP requirements
• Carrying out chemical sampling and analysis in industrial systems
• Preparing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Coordinating with other departments to support maintenance activities
• Managing and inventorying consumables related to utility systems
• Controlling and auditing Work Permits (WPs) in line with the Permit to Work System
• Participating in meetings, training sessions, and providing on-the-job training to colleagues
• Acting as a member of the Emergency Response Team, if required
• Performing safety-related duties under the Ship Security Plan (SSP)
• Carrying out additional tasks assigned by the Head of Department, including area responsibility and housekeeping

Requirements:
• Previous offshore, FPSO, FSO, or marine experience in a similar utility or rating position
• Relevant seafarer documents and offshore certificates valid for Brazil
• Good understanding of safety rules and safe working practices
• Ability to work shifts and in offshore conditions
• Intermediate level of English communication
• Team-oriented attitude and strong safety awareness
