Job Description

We are looking for an Offshore Operator / Mechanical Technician to join an offshore operations team responsible for maintaining and operating installations and machinery on offshore platforms. In this dual-function role, you will perform both mechanical maintenance activities and operator duties, playing a key role in ensuring safe and continuous production on both manned and unmanned platforms.

You will work on a fixed rotation schedule of 2 weeks offshore followed by 2 weeks at home (2/2 rotation). Depending on operational needs, your day may involve carrying out maintenance and repair activities on compressors, diesel engines, and gas/steam turbines, as well as monitoring and controlling production processes from the Central Control Room (CCR). As an operator, you will oversee the offshore production facility and adjust processes where required to ensure safe and efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnosing technical faults and performing corrective maintenance activities.
  • Carrying out maintenance and repair work on gas and diesel engines, pumps, compressors, cranes, and water makers.
  • Monitoring and controlling production processes from the Central Control Room (CCR), including gas production and distribution.
  • Ordering spare parts and assisting with loading and unloading supply vessels.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.


Requirements

  • Relevant technical education or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in offshore operations, mechanical maintenance, or operator roles is an advantage.
  • Valid offshore and safety certificates (STCW / BOSIET / Medical — as applicable).
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team environment.


Employment Details

  • Contract Duration: Rotation 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (2/2)
