VESSEL DOCTOR Division / Department: Administration Job Title: Vessel Doctor Reporting To: Master / Superintendent Qualifications & Certifications · National Passport · PMU Medical · BOSIET Experience · Minimum 1 year of further education in relevant subjects like anesthesia. · Intensive care medicine or 1-year experience in handling medical emergencies. Skill / Attributes / Competencies · Shipboard familiarization and safety critical competency assessment shall be satisfactorily completed. · Complete Security awareness training relevant for the position. · Previous experience of working as a Medic, preferably with experience on similar vessels in an operational environment. · Basic awareness of Flag State Maritime Law/Legislation appropriate to the role · Awareness of Ship Management ‘s SMS. · Able to demonstrate understanding of,experience in and knowledge of all aspects related to the key requirements of the role as described above. · Able to clearly interpret and understand operational instructions received from the Captain or Offshore Manager and to effectively act in accordance with them in conjunction with the relevant personnel/departments.
