Job Description

Helder Maritiem is currently recruiting an experienced Offshore Medic to join a Drilling Jack-Up Rig operating in the North Sea.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing primary medical care to offshore personnel, maintaining medical facilities and equipment, supporting emergency response activities, and ensuring compliance with offshore health, safety, and environmental regulations.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Offshore Medics who are available for immediate mobilization and have previous drilling rig experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and primary healthcare to offshore personnel.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate evacuations when required.
  • Maintain the onboard medical clinic and medical equipment.
  • Keep accurate medical records and confidential documentation.
  • Monitor crew health and conduct routine medical assessments.
  • Participate in emergency drills and incident response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with offshore HSE procedures and medical protocols.
  • Support health promotion and occupational health initiatives onboard.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Offshore Medic in a similar offshore environment.
  • Valid BOSIET or FOET certificate.
  • Valid Offshore Medical certificate.
  • Valid CA-EBS certificate (issued within the last 4 years).
  • Valid MIST, IMIST, or VCA certificate.
  • Valid Offshore Medic Certificate.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong emergency response and decision-making skills.
  • Physically and medically fit for offshore work.
