Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join a Drillship operating from Las Palmas. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a solid offshore drilling background who are available for immediate mobilization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment onboard while ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations. The position is offered for one hitch (28 days) with the possibility of extension based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment onboard the Drillship
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical failures to minimize operational downtime
• Assisting with inspections, testing, and servicing of machinery in accordance with company procedures
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting equipment status
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and offshore operational standards

Requirements:
• Previous Drillship experience (mandatory)
• Valid BOSIET / FOET certificate
• Valid OGUK / Offshore Medical certificate
• Valid Seaman’s Book
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
