Job Description:

Atlas Professionals are recruiting an Engine Mechanic / Engine Room Rating (ERR) for a Jack-Up offshore unit operating in UK waters.
The assignment is a short-term contract from 14 January until 16 January, supporting engine room operations during offshore activities.

The role involves engine watchkeeping and hands-on machinery operation and maintenance. The selected candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all engine room systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Conducting engine room watchkeeping duties onboard the Jack-Up unit
• Monitoring machinery and instrumentation and identifying abnormal readings or malfunction indicators
• Immediately informing the Maintenance Supervisor of any failures or irregularities on critical equipment
• Performing daily operation, routine checks, and basic maintenance of engine room machinery
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and offshore regulations

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the ERR / Engine Mechanic role
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Previous experience as Engine Mechanic / ERR on offshore units or jack-up rigs preferred
• Good understanding of engine room safety and maintenance procedures
