HSE) Advisor to provide expert, on-the-ground support for major onshore construction and decommissioning projects. Reporting directly to the Field HSE Manager, you will be a key player in implementing and maintaining our safety management system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards, and driving a proactive safety culture across all site operations.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong field presence, technical knowledge, and the ability to engage effectively with the workforce, subcontractors, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

As per project and company policy, main duties include but are not limited to:

· Drive HSE awareness and competency through active workforce engagement, leading toolbox talks, and supporting training initiatives.
· Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and monitoring of subcontractors to ensure equipment, processes, and behaviors meet stringent safety standards.
· Facilitate and review risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and method statements to ensure safe work practices are established for all activities.
· Administer and oversee the site Permit to Work (PTW) system and the control of hazardous materials (COSHH).
· Prepare HSE performance reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
· Promote environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and project commitments.
· Act as a primary point of HSE contact and support for site management and multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements

· Education: Relevant HSE or engineering-related qualification.
· Essential Certification: NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
· Desirable Certification: ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
· Experience: Several years of proven experience as an HSE Advisor on major onshore construction, Oil & Gas, or industrial decommissioning projects. Must have practical experience in construction design safety reviews, regulation management, site surveys, and incident investigation.
· Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Ability to engage with and advise personnel at all levels. Strong reporting and analytical abilities.
· Legal Requirement: Must be based in the UK with full, permanent UK right-to-work status (no visa sponsorship is available for this role).
