Job Description
Connect Energy is currently recruiting experienced offshore professionals for permanent positions with an international Oil & Gas company operating offshore assets and exploration activities in the UAE.
The client is currently undertaking the reactivation of a Jack-Up Drilling Rig and is seeking proven professionals across rig leadership, marine operations, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced offshore drilling personnel to contribute to the safe and successful return of a jack-up rig to operational service.

Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Support the safe reactivation and commissioning of the jack-up drilling rig.
- Perform duties according to assigned role and company procedures.
- Supervise drilling, marine, maintenance, electrical, or mechanical operations as applicable.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and prepare equipment for operational readiness.
- Coordinate work activities between departments and contractors.
- Follow permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and HSE procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks, emergency drills, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Oil & Gas and offshore industry standards.
- Maintain accurate operational, technical, and maintenance records.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous offshore drilling rig experience is essential.
- Proven experience in the relevant position.
- Valid offshore certifications, including BOSIET, OGUK Medical or equivalent, and other relevant certificates.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an international offshore team.
- Physically and medically fit for offshore work.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience on JU 2000E model jack-up rigs is an advantage.
- Previous experience in rig reactivation, commissioning, maintenance, or return-to-service projects is highly desirable.
Position-Specific Requirements
Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)
- Proven offshore drilling rig leadership experience.
- Relevant OIM / senior management certification and qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of offshore drilling and emergency management.
Toolpusher
- Extensive drilling rig experience in a senior supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and HSE procedures.
Barge Supervisor
- Proven marine/offshore rig experience.
- Strong understanding of stability, marine operations, and jack-up rig activities.
Electrician
- Relevant electrical trade qualification.
- Previous offshore drilling rig electrical experience.
Mechanic
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- Proven experience maintaining offshore drilling and mechanical equipment.
Assistant Electrician
- Relevant electrical qualification or trade experience.
- Offshore or drilling rig experience preferred.
Assistant Mechanic
- Relevant mechanical qualification or trade experience.
- Offshore drilling rig maintenance experience preferred.
