Job Description:
A leading offshore operator is recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) Vessel operating in the Gulf of Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems supporting the safe and reliable operation of the offshore production facility.
Please Note: This position is open exclusively to Mexican nationals, with preference given to candidates based in or near Tamaulipas due to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, generators, switchboards, UPS systems, wiring, and portable electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using approved testing and diagnostic procedures.
- Support the operation and maintenance of power generation and electrical distribution systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain accurate maintenance records in the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), electrical isolation procedures, and company HSE standards.
- Manage spare parts and maintenance materials efficiently.
- Participate in emergency response drills and offshore safety exercises.
- Support environmental compliance by monitoring pollution prevention measures and reporting abnormal conditions.
Requirements:
- ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years of offshore, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial experience is preferred.
- Experience with electrical power generation and distribution systems.
- COMPEx Certificate is preferred.
- HV/LV Protection and HV/LV Switching training will be considered an advantage.
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of PTW systems, electrical isolation procedures, risk assessments, and power management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Good English communication skills.
- Mexican nationality is mandatory.
