Job Description
We are currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Electronic Technician to join our client’s Drillship operating in Southwest Europe. The successful candidate will support the Electronic Technician and technical team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic, control, and communication systems onboard the drilling unit, ensuring safe and reliable operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintenance, inspection, and repair of electronic, control, and automation systems onboard the drillship
- Support troubleshooting of drilling control systems, instrumentation, and communication equipment
- Assist with testing and calibration of safety-critical and operational systems
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, OEM requirements, and offshore regulations
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to electronic systems
- Actively participate in safety meetings, drills, and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Previous Drillship experience in the role of Assistant Electronic Technician (mandatory)
- Valid COMPEX Certificate
- Valid Offshore Safety Certificates (BOSIET / FOET as applicable)
- Valid OGUK Medical Certificate
- Valid Schengen Visa
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively within a technical offshore team
