Job Description

MTC Group is recruiting an experienced Watchkeeping Engineer (WKE) to join an FSO unit operating at Kemaman Anchorage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining engineering watches, monitoring machinery performance and assisting with the safe operation of engine-room equipment and auxiliary systems.

Previous tanker experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain engine-room watches in accordance with onboard procedures.
• Monitor propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Carry out routine machinery inspections.
• Assist with planned maintenance and minor repairs.
• Monitor machinery parameters and report abnormalities.
• Maintain engine-room logs and operational records.
• Follow engineering safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.

Requirements

• Relevant tanker experience – mandatory.
• Previous experience as a Watchkeeping Engineer or in a similar engineering position.
• Valid engineering CoC appropriate to the position, where applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to the rank.
• Valid Marine Medical Certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer's book.
• Good knowledge of engine-room operations and machinery maintenance.
• Good understanding of marine safety procedures.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
