Job Description:
GRN Drilling is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Rig Electrician on behalf of its client for a temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment onboard an offshore drilling rig, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all electrical installations.
The anticipated start date is mid-August 2026, although dates are flexible depending on candidate availability and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carrying out inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment onboard the drilling rig.
Troubleshooting electrical faults and ensuring equipment remains operational.
Working safely within hazardous areas and following applicable electrical safety procedures.
Supporting the drilling and maintenance teams with electrical requirements.
Ensuring all electrical work complies with company procedures and offshore safety standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Senior Rig Electrician or similar offshore position.
Recognised Electrical Qualification.
Valid CompEx / Hazardous Areas certification.
Valid OEUK Medical.
Valid offshore survival training, including HUET / EBS / CA-EBS as applicable.
Relevant offshore experience is required.
Valid STCW/offshore certificates where applicable.
Proficiency in English communication.
Must be available for an anticipated mid-August 2026 start.
