Location: Mediterranean Sea Offshore
We are currently seeking an experienced Rig Electrician to join an offshore drilling project in the Mediterranean Sea. The position involves working onboard an offshore drilling unit, supporting critical drilling and production operations by ensuring all electrical systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
The Rig Electrician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of onboard electrical systems, ensuring compliance with offshore safety standards and maintaining operational reliability in a demanding offshore environment. This role is ideal for professionals with offshore drilling unit experience and strong technical expertise in electrical systems.
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment onboard
• Ensure proper functioning of power generation and distribution systems
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with offshore safety standards and electrical regulations
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Proven offshore experience as Rig Electrician
• Relevant electrical certification and technical qualifications
• Valid offshore safety certification (BOSIET / FOET / HUET preferred)
• Strong knowledge of offshore electrical systems and safety procedures
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable)
• Rotation: 28 days ON / 28 days OFF
