Job Description
Prime Ocean Group is recruiting an experienced Main Well Driller to join a client’s drillship operating offshore Angola, with joining scheduled for 5 November 2026.
The successful candidate will oversee drilling operations at the rig floor, operate drilling equipment, and coordinate the drilling crew to ensure safe, controlled, and efficient well operations.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operating and supervising drilling equipment during well operations.
- Directing the rig-floor crew and coordinating drilling activities.
- Monitoring drilling parameters and identifying operational abnormalities.
- Ensuring compliance with drilling procedures and well-control requirements.
- Conducting safety briefings and maintaining safe working practices.
- Communicating operational updates and issues to the Toolpusher and rig management.
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Driller or Main Well Driller on a drillship or comparable offshore drilling rig.
- Appropriate drilling and well-control certificates for the position.
- Valid offshore safety training and medical certification as required.
- Valid passport and relevant employment documents.
- Strong technical knowledge of drilling equipment and rig-floor operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to join on 5 November 2026.
