Job Description

Ogenus Offshore is looking to connect with experienced Drillers for upcoming drillship projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing drilling operations safely and efficiently, maintaining operational control, and ensuring compliance with well-control procedures and offshore safety standards.

Applicants should have proven drillship experience, valid offshore certifications, and availability to mobilise in the near term.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervising and executing drilling operations in accordance with the drilling programme.
• Operating and monitoring drilling equipment and associated systems.
• Coordinating drilling-floor activities and supervising assigned personnel.
• Implementing well-control procedures and responding appropriately to operational abnormalities.
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, permit-to-work systems, and offshore safety standards.
• Monitoring equipment condition and reporting defects or operational risks.
• Maintaining accurate drilling reports and shift handover records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Driller aboard a drillship.
• Valid offshore certifications required for the position.
• Appropriate well-control certification, as required by the project.
• Strong knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Effective leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to changing operational conditions.
• Availability for near-term mobilisation.
