Job Description:
Atlas Nexwave is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Driller for an ultra-deepwater Drillship operating in West Africa.
This is a permanent staff position with a high-specification drilling unit, offering an excellent long-term career opportunity for an experienced offshore drilling professional.
Start Date: End of August 2026
Contract: Permanent / Staff Role
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Driller with safe and efficient drilling operations.
Monitor and operate drilling equipment and systems according to established procedures.
Support well-control, drilling, and rig-floor activities.
Ensure drilling operations are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with routine inspections, maintenance, and preparation of drilling equipment.
Requirements:
Strong previous experience working on ultra-deepwater / deepwater Drillships.
Previous international offshore experience.
Valid BOSIET.
Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Valid Yellow Fever Certificate.
Valid Seaman's Book.
Relevant offshore drilling experience in the same or similar position.
Good English communication skills.
Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively within an international offshore team.
