Job Description:
Ogenus Offshore is recruiting an experienced Assistant Driller on behalf of one of its trusted clients for an offshore drilling operation in Namibia. The Assistant Driller will support the Driller in the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations, supervise activities around the drill floor and associated systems, and ensure compliance with company, client, and safety procedures.
The position is offered on a 28/28 rotation, with an ASAP start and a 12-month renewable contract. The successful candidate should have previous offshore drilling experience and a strong understanding of drilling equipment, well control, and offshore safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Driller with all drilling operations and supervise assigned drill floor activities.
Coordinate crew activities and ensure personnel understand their duties and safety precautions.
Support tripping operations, pipe handling, tubular preparation, and drill floor activities.
Assist with first-line maintenance and ensure drilling tools and equipment remain safe and operational.
Support well control operations, including BOP and diverter testing and procedures.
Monitor housekeeping and maintain high safety standards throughout the drilling area.
Prepare Safe Job Analyses (SJA), contribute to risk assessments, and complete daily drilling reports.
Participate in safety drills, emergency response activities, and offshore safety meetings.

Requirements:
Previous offshore drilling experience in a similar role
Valid IWCF or IADC Certification
Strong knowledge of drilling operations and drilling equipment
Understanding of well control procedures and BOP/diverter systems
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Ability to identify and report hazards, near-misses, incidents, and non-conformities
Working proficiency in English
Valid offshore medical and relevant offshore certification
Ability to work effectively in a multinational offshore crew
