2nd Officer DPO to join a Geotechnical Drilling Vessel operating in the Dutch sector. The assignment commences on 07/01/2026 for a duration of 8 weeks.

This role is critical for the safe navigation and dynamic positioning operations of a specialized drilling vessel. Candidates without proven experience on drilling vessels and specific DP system knowledge will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company and vessel policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

· Perform bridge watchkeeping duties as Officer of the Watch (OOW).
· Operate and monitor the Rolls-Royce Dynamic Positioning system to maintain vessel position during geotechnical drilling operations.
· Maintain all bridge equipment, navigational charts, and publications.
· Assist the Chief Officer with cargo operations, stability, and deck operations as required.
· Supervise helmsmen and ABs during navigation and DP operations.
· Ensure strict compliance with all safety, security, and environmental procedures (ISM/ISPS).
· Maintain accurate logs for navigation, DP operations, and safety drills.

Requirements:

· Mandatory Certifications (All Valid):
  · STCW Certificates (Full suite, including Advanced Fire Fighting).
  · Officer of the Watch (OOW) CoC, unlimited.
  · DP Unlimited Certificate.
  · Valid Seafarer's Medical (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent).
  · Valid Seaman's Book (CDC).
· Essential Experience:
  · Proven, recent experience on Drilling Vessels (Geotechnical, Jack-Up, or Drillship).
  · Specific, hands-on experience with Rolls-Royce (Kongsberg) DP Control Systems.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills in English.

Employment Details:

· Contract Duration: 8 weeks (Fixed-term).
· Rotation: Not applicable (Single 8-week trip).
· Salary: $8,400 USD per month while on board.
· Benefits: Accommodation and meals provided on board. Travel to/from point of sign-on in the Netherlands will be arranged and covered.
