Job Description:
The company is currently seeking experienced Derrickmen to join its offshore drilling fleet. Reporting directly to the Rig Superintendent, the Derrickman is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, inspection, and maintenance of the derrick and associated drilling equipment.
The successful candidate will oversee mud systems, solids control equipment, tubular handling tools, and drilling support operations while ensuring compliance with company operational procedures and HSE standards. This role is essential for maintaining safe drilling operations and supporting successful well completion.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate, inspect, and maintain the derrick and associated drilling equipment.
Monitor and maintain the mud system and solids control equipment.
Support drill floor operations, including tubular handling and drilling activities.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of derrick equipment.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Minimum 4 years of experience working for an offshore drilling company.
Previous experience working on offshore drilling rigs.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong understanding of drilling operations, mud systems, and solids control equipment.
Ability to work safely in a physically demanding offshore environment.
