Location: USA – Axis Operations
Job Description:
Axis is hiring a Derrick Hand to work at heights on the rig, supporting drilling and tripping operations. The Derrick Hand plays a key role in handling drill pipes and maintaining drilling fluids.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Working on the derrick to assist with pipe handling during drilling operations
• Monitoring and maintaining mud pumps and drilling fluid systems
• Ensuring safe and efficient tripping procedures
• Conducting routine inspections and equipment checks
• Supporting rig crews in daily operations
Requirements:
• Prior rig experience required, preferably as Floor Hand
• Strong understanding of drilling operations and safety practices
• Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
