Deckhand for Jack-Up Rig (Croatia)

Job Description:

DMC Offshore is seeking an experienced Deckhand for an upcoming Jack-Up Drilling Rig project in Croatia.

The successful candidate will support daily deck operations, routine maintenance, equipment handling, and general offshore activities while following instructions from supervisors and complying with onboard safety procedures.

Croatian candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates from other EU countries may also apply if they hold or are eligible to obtain a valid A1 certificate.

The assignment is expected to last 60–90 days, with mobilisation as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
• Assist with handling, securing, and moving equipment and materials.
• Support deck and lifting operations as directed and appropriately trained.
• Maintain deck equipment and designated working areas.
• Participate in toolbox talks and emergency drills and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience as a Deckhand or in a similar offshore deck position.
• Previous offshore or drilling rig experience is an advantage.
• Valid offshore safety training and medical certification, as required by the project.
• Valid STCW certificates and maritime documentation, where required for the role.
• Good English communication skills and a professional, safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of an offshore team.
• Croatian candidates particularly encouraged to apply.
• Other EU candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid A1 certificate.
• Availability for immediate mobilisation and the full 60–90-day assignment.
