Job Description:
Atlas NextWave is currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator for a short-term offshore assignment onboard a Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out safe and efficient lifting operations in accordance with offshore procedures, approved lifting plans, and safety standards.
Travel is scheduled for 25 August 2026, with mobilisation on 26 August 2026. The assignment is expected to run until 9 September 2026. Due to the location and work eligibility requirements, only UK and EU-based professionals can be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate the offshore crane safely and efficiently during lifting operations.
Conduct pre-use inspections and ensure crane equipment is in safe working condition.
Coordinate lifting activities with Banksmen, Slingers, deck crews, and supervisors.
Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and offshore safety procedures.
Maintain crane logs, operational records, and required documentation.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Offshore Crane Operator
Valid Banksman & Slinger – OPITO certification
Valid Crane Operator Stage 1 certification
Valid Crane Operator Stage 2 certification
Valid Crane Operator Stage 3/4 certification
Valid Offshore Medical – OEUK
Valid STCW Security Awareness A-VI/6-1 (eLearning)
Relevant offshore experience
UK or EU-based professional – Mandatory
Good English communication skills
Availability for the full assignment period
