Job Description:
GRN Drilling is currently recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer on behalf of its client for a temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, safe operation and maintenance of the drilling rig's engineering systems and machinery. The Chief Engineer will lead the engineering team and ensure that all machinery, electrical and auxiliary systems are maintained and operated in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
The anticipated start date is mid-August 2026, although the dates are flexible depending on project requirements and candidate availability.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Managing and supervising all engineering operations onboard the offshore drilling rig.
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of main, auxiliary and associated machinery.
Planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Managing the engineering team and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Maintaining engineering records and ensuring compliance with statutory and offshore safety requirements.

Requirements:
Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency – Unlimited (III/2), STCW.
STCW Advanced Fire Fighting.
STCW Basic Training, including Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention / Fire Fighting.
STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats, other than Fast Rescue Boats.
STCW Proficiency in Designated Security Duties – A-VI/6-2.
Valid OEUK Medical.
Valid Seafarer Medical.
Valid offshore survival training, including HUET / EBS / CA-EBS.
Previous offshore drilling experience is required.
Valid and up-to-date certificates for offshore travel.
Proficiency in English communication.
Availability for an anticipated mid-August 2026 start.
