Job Description
TOS People is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the vessel’s engine department, machinery, and technical systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise the engine department and engine-room personnel.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate planned maintenance and technical repairs.
- Monitor machinery performance and maintain technical records.
- Ensure compliance with onboard safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same rank and on the same or similar vessel type: FSO, FPSO, large offshore vessel, or tanker.
- Good English communication skills.
- Valid BOSIET, FOET, and AOT/BOCT certificates as required.
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and relevant STCW certificates.
- Valid offshore medical certificate and seafarer documents as applicable.
