Job Description

MTC Group is recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join an FSO unit operating at Kemaman Anchorage.

The successful candidate will support daily deck operations, perform routine maintenance and assist with mooring and tanker-related activities while ensuring compliance with onboard safety procedures.

Previous tanker experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine deck maintenance and housekeeping.
• Assist with mooring and anchoring operations.
• Support tanker and cargo-related activities as instructed.
• Inspect and maintain deck equipment and tools.
• Assist deck officers and the Bosun with daily operations.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities.
• Report equipment defects and unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Relevant tanker experience – mandatory.
• Previous experience as an Able Seaman onboard tanker or similar vessels.
• Valid AB qualification or relevant Certificate of Proficiency (CoP).
• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
• Valid Marine Medical Certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer's book.
• Good knowledge of deck maintenance and safety procedures.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew.
