Position: 3rd Officer

Location: West Africa / Offshore

Job Description:

We are supporting our offshore client with an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Officer on one of their Drillships operating in West Africa. The role involves bridge watchkeeping, navigation support, and assisting senior deck officers in daily drillship operations. The contract is 12 months, renewable, with a 28/28 rotation, and the start date is ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Conducting bridge watchkeeping as Officer of the Watch (OOW)
• Assisting in navigation, positioning, and monitoring vessel systems
• Supporting senior deck officers in daily deck operations and drillship procedures
• Maintaining accurate navigational and operational logs
• Ensuring compliance with the vessel’s Safety Management System (SMS) and statutory regulations
• Participating in drills, emergency response, and safety briefings

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as 3rd Officer on Drillships or Semi-submersible vessels
• Valid BOSIET / FOET / HUET with CA-EBS
• Valid Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) / STCW certificates
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Strong safety awareness and offshore work ethic
