Job Description

Ogenus Offshore is urgently recruiting qualified and experienced offshore professionals to join one of its trusted clients for a short-term assignment aboard a Drillship operating in Malaysia.

Applications are invited for the following engine department positions:

• Third Engineer (3/E)

Candidates must have previous drillship experience, hold valid offshore safety certificates, and be available for immediate mobilisation.

Experience with HHI / Himsen 16H32/40V engines will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and associated systems.
• Conduct machinery inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot technical faults and coordinate repairs.
• Monitor machinery performance and maintain engineering records.
• Support the senior engineering team in maintaining safe and reliable engine-room operations.
• Follow company procedures and applicable offshore safety requirements.

Requirements

• Appropriate Third Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Previous drillship experience – mandatory.
• Valid BOSIET certificate.
• Valid OEUK medical certificate.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Experience with HHI / Himsen 16H32/40V engines is an advantage.
• Availability to mobilise ASAP.

General Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and experience for the position applied for.
• Proven previous experience aboard drillships.
• Valid offshore safety and medical documentation.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Immediate availability for mobilisation to Malaysia.
• Ability to work effectively within an offshore drilling team.
