Location: Southwest Europe
We are currently recruiting an experienced 4th Engineer to join our client’s Drillship operating in Southwest Europe. This role is suited for a motivated engine officer with prior drillship experience who can support safe, efficient, and compliant engine room operations in a demanding offshore drilling environment.
The 4th Engineer will work under the supervision of senior engineers, contributing to daily operations, maintenance routines, and the overall reliability of machinery and systems onboard.
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the operation and maintenance of main engines and auxiliary machinery
• Carrying out engine room watchkeeping duties as assigned
• Supporting planned maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
• Maintaining engine room cleanliness and compliance with safety standards
• Completing logs, checklists, and maintenance records accurately
• Participating in drills, safety meetings, and emergency response activities
• Previous Drillship experience as a 4th Engineer (mandatory)
• Valid National Certificate of Competency (COC)
• Valid Marshall Islands License (mandatory)
• Valid STCW offshore certificates
• Valid OGUK Medical Certificate
• Valid Schengen Visa
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team environment
