Job Description:
A leading offshore recruitment company is seeking an experienced 4th Engineer to join a Drillship operating in Spain. The successful candidate will support engine room operations and ensure the safe and efficient performance of machinery onboard. The travel date is 7 August, with the opportunity for one hitch or longer, depending on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist senior engineers in the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repair of auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
- Maintain engine room logs and planned maintenance records.
- Participate in emergency drills and promote safe working practices onboard.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- Previous experience as 4th Engineer on offshore vessels or drillships is preferred
- Valid Marshall Islands Certificate of Competency (CoC) is mandatory
- Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
