Wiper for Ferry / Passenger Vessels (UK)

Job Description:
We are urgently recruiting a Wiper for a new passenger vessel venture operating on the UK → Cape Town → Tristan da Cunha route. The vessel is a passenger ferry with a Gross Tonnage of 2,090 GT, with a maximum capacity of 36 passengers and 21 crew members. The vessel will have 3 Messmen onboard. The contract duration is 9 months, with joining scheduled in the UK at the end of September 2026.

The Wiper will perform assigned duties according to rank, support safe and efficient vessel operations, and maintain good working and safety conditions onboard. The position requires cooperation with the engine department and other crew members in accordance with company procedures.

• Performing assigned duties according to rank and engine department requirements
• Supporting safe and efficient vessel operations
• Assisting with maintenance and general engine-room duties as assigned
• Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and good working conditions onboard
• Following company procedures and onboard safety requirements

Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position
• Medical fitness certificate
• Valid seaman’s book
• Relevant qualifications for the applied position
• Relevant experience in the respective rank
• Proficiency in English communication
