RSA Officer for Cruise Liner (WW)

Job Description:
Carnival Cruise Line is seeking a qualified Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Officer to join the onboard Security Team.

The primary responsibility of the RSA Officer is to promote the safe and responsible service and consumption of alcohol onboard. The position is responsible for preventing intoxication, preventing guests under the age of 21 from obtaining or consuming alcohol, and ensuring that alcohol service is conducted in accordance with Carnival's policies and procedures.

The RSA Officer is assigned to specific bar locations by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) or designated officer and focuses exclusively on responsible alcohol service and guest safety throughout the assigned operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and ensure appropriate warnings are given at an early stage, including preventing further alcohol service when necessary.
• Assist bar and service personnel in determining whether a guest should be served and support the handling of guests who have been refused alcohol service.
• Ensure guests who have been refused service do not obtain additional alcohol from other sources and notify the appropriate personnel while maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure the safety of guests who have been refused service and arrange medical assistance when required.
• Maintain focus on responsible alcohol consumption, complete daily reports, and ensure security-related incidents are handled by uniformed Security personnel.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience
• High School Diploma
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Basic STCW Training
• Proficiency in English
• Qualified Security Supervisor and able to meet all requirements for the Security Supervisor position
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Completion of Carnival's Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training module
• Completion of Carnival's RSA Customer Service training module
• Knowledge of the effects of alcohol and drugs on the human body
• Ability to estimate/calculate reasonable alcohol consumption levels before intoxication
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to Carnival's Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Professional conduct as a representative of the Carnival brand
